Bariatric Fusion Zinc Plus Copper is an affordable and convenient way for bariatric surgery patients to get a synergistic ratio of zinc citrate and copper gluconate. In only 1 capsule daily, this formula supports a healthy immune response, nervous system function, and skin health.*
Supplementing high levels of zinc can bind copper and prevent it from being absorbed properly, typically leading to copper deficiency. If you supplement zinc, it is recommended to also take a copper supplement. Every 8-15 mg of supplemental zinc should be paired with 1 mg of copper to minimize the risk of copper deficiency.
Following weight loss surgery, patients are at a higher risk of micronutrient deficiencies due to nutrient malabsorption and lower nutrient intake with smaller meals. After bariatric surgery, bariatric multivitamins with appropriate zinc and copper ratios are recommended to help prevent nutrient deficiencies. In some cases, an additional zinc plus copper supplement is recommended to support ongoing health.*
