We are all doing the best we can. Lots of us are keeping to ourselves -- by working from home, by avoiding restaurants, and by not going to concerts or sports events.
Stress, lack of sleep and eating poorly all hurt your health – and suppress your immune system!
It is OK to be worried and anxious. Don’t let that get in the way of taking care of yourself. This is the worst time ever to neglect your health.
When you feel in control, you will feel less stressed and sleep better. Take control of one thing – the most important thing…Your Health.
Focusing on these four things is the best way to do it:
Sleep: Most adults need 7-9 hours of sleep. Sleep is important to your overall well-being. Some quick tips: a) limit caffeine and b) turn off computers, handheld devices and TVs at least an hour before you go to bed.
Hydrate: Water is important for good health. The amount of water you should drink. Listen to your body.
Manage Stress: Put on some music to soothe your anxiety, go for a walk to clear your head, or play a board game.
Nutrition: Eat vegetables and fruit. Almost everyone can benefit from getting more high-quality protein. Avoid extremes and stay away from fad diets. Add a multivitamin as an insurance policy.
