As you know, we call the Wednesday night Zoom groups, “Lifelong Success Groups”. When we say Lifelong Success, we mean it—and last week’s Support Group meeting was more than we could have hoped for. We learned so much from Dr. “Abby” Bharti Shetye.
Dr. Abby joined us on our Lifelong Success Support Group, and shared many valuable points about Metabolism, and how we can change it to manage our weight more successfully.
We talked sleep and stress and connected the dots on how they affect metabolism and fat retention We talked about the role of everyday activity as well as exercise in calorie-burning
We can control some aspects of our metabolism, which was a great revelation for many of us attending.
Here is one key message from Dr. Abby that stuck with us:
A Healthy Metabolism is affected by daily activity and muscle. Muscle is affected by protein and exercise.
We recommend High Quality Protein + Exercise for Lifelong Success, as you may remember from the March for Me Challenge.Those same principles support a healthy metabolism.
