Protein Creamsicle
Who doesn’t love a nice, refreshing popsicle in warm weather or after a long day when you're craving something sweet? Unfortunately, most popsicles are high in sugar and lack nutritional value. But what if you could enjoy a dreamy, high-protein creamsicle without all the added sugar and excess carbohydrates? Try our Protein Orange Creamsicle recipe!
With just a few simple ingredients—skim milk, whey protein powder, pudding mix, and orange extract—this easy recipe will delight your taste buds while keeping you refreshed. Each popsicle contains only 59 calories and 6 grams of protein, making it a great way to boost your protein intake while enjoying a nutritious treat.
Recipe note: To intensify the orange flavor, you can add extra orange extract without affecting the nutritional value. Feel free to experiment with different flavors of Unjury® protein powder and Jell-O Pudding Mix (sugar-free, fat-free). Ingredients:
2 cups skim milk
2 packets or 2 scoops Unjury Vanilla Whey Protein Powder
1 small box Jell-O® instant vanilla pudding mix (sugar-free, fat-free)
1 tsp. McCormick® pure orange extract
Directions:
- Measure skim milk and pour it into a bowl.
- Mix in Unjury protein powder, stirring until well combined. Set aside.
- In a separate bowl, empty the contents of the pudding mix.
- Add the protein powder milk mixture to the dry pudding mix.
- Stir the final mixture for two minutes or until the texture is smooth.
- Add orange extract and mix in.
- Place six three-ounce paper cups (or popsicle molds) onto a plate.
- Ladle the mixture evenly into paper cups or molds.
- Place a popsicle stick in the center of each cup or mold.
- Put the plate of creamsicles into the freezer. Let freeze for four hours.
- Once the creamsicles have frozen, peel away the paper cup and enjoy!
