Who doesn’t love a nice, refreshing popsicle in warm weather or after a long day when you're craving something sweet? Unfortunately, most popsicles are high in sugar and lack nutritional value. But what if you could enjoy a dreamy, high-protein creamsicle without all the added sugar and excess carbohydrates? Try our Protein Orange Creamsicle recipe!

With just a few simple ingredients—skim milk, whey protein powder, pudding mix, and orange extract—this easy recipe will delight your taste buds while keeping you refreshed. Each popsicle contains only 59 calories and 6 grams of protein, making it a great way to boost your protein intake while enjoying a nutritious treat.

Recipe note: To intensify the orange flavor, you can add extra orange extract without affecting the nutritional value. Feel free to experiment with different flavors of Unjury® protein powder and Jell-O Pudding Mix (sugar-free, fat-free). For example, try Unjury Chocolate Whey Protein powder with chocolate pudding for a delicious variation.

Ingredients:

2 cups skim milk
2 packets or 2 scoops Unjury Vanilla Whey Protein Powder
1 small box Jell-O® instant vanilla pudding mix (sugar-free, fat-free)
1 tsp. McCormick® pure orange extract

Directions:

  1. Measure skim milk and pour it into a bowl.
  2. Mix in Unjury protein powder, stirring until well combined. Set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl, empty the contents of the pudding mix.
  4. Add the protein powder milk mixture to the dry pudding mix.
  5. Stir the final mixture for two minutes or until the texture is smooth.
  6. Add orange extract and mix in.
  7. Place six three-ounce paper cups (or popsicle molds) onto a plate.
  8. Ladle the mixture evenly into paper cups or molds.
  9. Place a popsicle stick in the center of each cup or mold.
  10. Put the plate of creamsicles into the freezer. Let freeze for four hours.
  11. Once the creamsicles have frozen, peel away the paper cup and enjoy!
